OEM headlights compared to the projector headlights What Are Projector Headlights? Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) are the headlights that come with the vehicle from the factory. These lights are standard on most vehicles and are made to be used for daily driving. However, most luxury cars have gone above and beyond the standard OEM headlights and come with projector headlights. The main benefit of projector headlights is that they have a more focused beam than a traditional OEM headlight. OEM headlights have a mirror-like housing to reflect light, thus the beam will become more scattered and unfocused. The light then looses its direction and becomes less powerful on the dark roads. With the projector headlights, they focus the light more into a powerful beam so that less light will be lost. A good example would be having a magnifying glass and trying to focus the sun to make a beam of light. If the magnifying glass uses the beam correctly then it becomes more as a projector, then the light beam will be more condensed and stronger. Original equipment manufacturing headlights can be compared to a flash light where the beam is only reflected (not projected).
A common upgrade on most projector headlights are halo rings (also called angel eyes) which glow in a circle when the lights are turned on. And most of the cars that are made today will have a projector headlight to fit them. So now we can all stay focused with projector headlights, and a href="/Shop/Control/fp/SFV/32389/search/led%20tail%20lights/sfv/32389/field/1/page/1">LED tail lightsto match.
